Multimedia Speaker System with Amplifier

INTRODUCTION :
Model X-1400 is an entry level Wooden Sub-woofer speaker system with Amplifier Known as 2.1 speaker system(Two satelites and one woofer for stereophonic response)which works with Computers and also with VCD / DVD / Tape recorders.For connections please refer to different diagrams at the end of page.The subwoofer(the bigger Piece) being an entry level subwoofer has been made in plastic to give you the best possible finish of the product.It gives the low frequency response and is placed as close to the floor as possible to get the beats like most kind of drums.The two small pieces known as Satelites give high frequency response can be placed on table top at the ear level height to get the best possible response.

PLACEMENT OF SYSTEM:
The system should be place in such manner that the woofer is as close to the floor as possible and the satelites (Left & Right) should be at equal distance from the woofer on the hearing level (If you normally listen while sitting at 3.5-4.5 ft from the floor level).The satelites should never be placed together otherwise the stereo effect will not be there.They should have free air and no obstuction should be there between the speakers and the listeners.

SET UP & CONFIGURATION :
Please ensure that all power switches are in the off position including the device which you are connecting(Computers,VCD,Taperecorder)

1. Please ensure that the speaker marked Left is placed on the left side of the Woofer and Speaker marked Right on the Right side of the woofer to ensure better sound quality.
2. Connect the Male stereo socket coming out of the Woofer Piece to the sound card female jack provided in the computer / VCD / Taperecorder or any other suitable device.
3. Connect the AC Power cord on the subwoofer to the AC Mains.Please ensure that Male socket of the Power cord is not loose in the Main Power supply socket.
4. Please put the Power On of the Computer / VCD / connecting device.

USER CONTROLS:

SPEAKER POWER ON OFF : (Back Side of the Woofer) Push the Switch to the on Position (down side)for Power On.With Switching On,the L.E.d in the front panel of the woofer will start glowing and with switching off the L.E.D with stop glowing.

VOLOUME CONTROL : The Control marked as Voloume at the woofer front pnael is for controlling the voloume of your set.As you turn the clock clockwise the Voloume of set increases and as you turn the knob anticlockwise,the voloume decreases.

SOFTWARE VOLUME CONTROL: (In case you are using it with computer) This is the most important adjustment on which the quality of sound will depend.All speaker systems having built in amplifier are dependent on these adjustment.We are giving herewith the following diagram on which the following adjustments are to made in order to get the best response of this speaker system:

For accessing these controls & adjusting the same,please follow the following procedure:

1. Windows 95 / Windows 98 / Windows Me & 2000 / Windows XP
2. Go to start ,Programs,Accessories,Entertainment,Voloume Control.
3. Be sure that Mute is unchecked.
   Adjust the volume slider to the level shown in the down below diagram.Please also understand that most the amplifiers should be run on 80% effeciency to get the best response otherwise the distortion of sound may be there.
4. Close the window.
5. Play the desired Audio CD / Mp3 Player of your choice by selecting the device.

  Well Tuned Wooden cabinet for Deep & Low frequency response.
• Satelites Driver Units:
  2 X 3.0 inch full-range speaker drivers.(Magnetically Shielded)
• Sub-Woofer Driver Unit:
  4 inch full-range free edge woofer driver(Non-shielded)
• Frequency Response:
  Woofer - 55Hz~170Hz, Satellites – 160Hz~13kHz.
• Inputs:
  Stereo with input senstivity of 250mV

TROUBLE SHOOTING :
If there is no sound or very poor quality sound coming from your speakers ,follow the following steps below to counter check:

1. check that all connections are secured firmly.
2. Check to be sure that both the sub -woofer and satelites speaker are connected to each other.
3. Check the voloume control at the Woofer.
4. If there is some kind of unwanted noise known as hum,please change the Main sockets the other way round to change the polarity.
5. Check the voloume controls of the sound card by following step 3 at the Software Volume control chapter.

CAUTION :

1. Do not use the speaker system near water and also do not immerse in water or pour any other liquid over them.
2. Do not use or install them near the source of Heat such as stove , Gas e.t.c that produces heat.
3. Please do not block any openings provided in speakers such as vents,ports e.t.c.It may seriously hamper their functioning.
4. Please protect the wire cord being walked over,peeled or pinched.
5. Unplug the appartus from the computer / device and also from the main supply,while cleaning.
6. Please place the speaker in a stable condition otherwise it may fall and damage the inner parts.
7. Unplug the appartus when to be unused for longer duration from the mains.
8. For added protection,whenever there is lightning or thunderstorm,please unplug the speakers from the electrical mains and turn off the computer/ device also.
9. Least but most ,Please adjust the audio volume from the software part in the computer to avoid damaging your health and the system.
